My passions include teaching, community building, music, and traveling. I have volunteered in Morocco, Ghana, and Australia and learned so much from each of these unique experiences! I'm excited to connect with IVS to continue learning and facilitating cross-cultural education and sustainable development.
IVS Alum (Ladakh 2016), Fulbright ETA Czech Republic
I traveled to Ladakh with IVS and loved working with the Stongdey community. I joined the LEAD board because I want to support similar partnerships. After graduating from WWU in 2017, I spent the past couple of years working for the Bellingham School District. I have a passion for teaching, going to new places, soccer, and eating ice cream!
Photographer. Adventurer. Global Citizen.
Photography has brought me around the world on various assignments, including, high-end fashion photography in Brazil, capturing surfing in Costa Rica and being embedded with musicians on tour across the United States. After spending a majority of my time living on the road out of a backpack, I’m excited to work with the LEAD board to continue to build community in Bellingham.
IVS Alum (Nepal 2017), Sailing Instructor, WWU Student - Anthropology and Community Recreation
Unapologetically obsessed with sailing, whether it be volunteering to help run races for local community groups, teaching sailing courses for the university, or competing on the Western college team. I am passionate about community-driven recreation, tourism, and development, and have a keen interest in how people are connected and what it means to be a part of a community.
IVS Alumni (Ladakh 2017), North Cascades Institute Program Coordinator, Americorps Service Member
Born and raised in the PNW, I graduated from WWU with a BA in Philosophy and participated in an IVS trip to Ladakh before working as a program coordinator at NCI. My travel background is one filled with absurdity and humor (mostly at my own expense), but also of connections and forming lifelong friendships. You can always find me with a sketchbook in close proximity and a desire to do something spontaneous.
IVS Alum (Nepal & India 2016), Maple Alley Inn Volunteer, WWU Student - Sociology & International Studies
I grew up moving frequently, spending most of my time in Cairo, Egypt. This sparked my interest in global health and development, which brought to India and Nepal with IVS in 2016. I'm excited to learn more about non-profit management and support the mission of IVS. I love to mountain bike and spend time with friends!
